After two weekends off, it was time to head back to the track. AJ was in the first street stock heat and started in the back. At the drop of the green flag the cars in front of him were two wide. There was no where for him to go. Finally he was able to move forward and pass for the lead. With three laps to go, AJ started smoking lightly. He still went on to win the heat race. After doing some inspection on the car, it appeared that the transmission was leaking from the front somewhere. With a temporary repair, we were hoping it would make it through the feature. AJ started fourth row inside for the feature. The feature started off like the heat race, cars that were in front of him were two and three wide. Finally, he made is way up to second and catching the leader. He was right on his tale for several laps and then started fading back. AJ finished second and the car barely smoked any!
